Southern front porch with rocking chairs and American flag at dusk in Middle Tennessee

About Us

Local home watch, built on Tennessee trust.

We started Greater Nashville Home Watch to give absentee homeowners across Middle Tennessee a credentialed, insured, and genuinely caring set of eyes on their property.

Meet the Owner

Greater Nashville Home Watch is owned and operated by Theodora Paddock, a Middle Tennessee resident who personally walks every prospective client through their home before service begins. Theodora built the company on the belief that absentee homeowners deserve a documented, credentialed set of eyes on their property — not a favor from a neighbor.

Our Story

Middle Tennessee has welcomed an extraordinary number of new residents, second-home owners, and traveling professionals over the last decade. Many of them shared the same concern: their homes sat empty for weeks at a time with no one checking on them. A neighbor or family member might do the favor for a while, but rarely with insurance, never with documentation, and always with a limit on how often they could help.

Greater Nashville Home Watch was founded to fill that gap with a real, professional service. We are accredited through the National Home Watch Association, fully insured and bonded, and committed to a documented inspection process on every visit.

What We Believe

  • Trust is earned. Background checks, NDAs, secured key and code storage — every detail of your home stays confidential.
  • Documentation matters. Every visit ends with a time-stamped photo report. You always know exactly what we did and what we saw.
  • Local knowledge counts. We know the neighborhoods, the storm patterns, and the trades. When something needs attention, we know who to call.
  • Communication wins. If we find an issue, you hear from us immediately — not on the next scheduled visit.

Meet Theodora Paddock

Hi! I'm Theodora Paddock — owner of Greater Nashville Home Watch. For over 14 years I've helped buyers and sellers throughout Middle Tennessee navigate the real estate market with confidence. I've built a strong reputation for being knowledgeable, dependable, honest, and kind.

I've been a licensed real estate agent in the Middle Tennessee area for the past 14 years, helping hundreds of buyers and sellers successfully navigate the real estate process. Throughout my career I've observed hundreds of home inspections and reports — giving me firsthand knowledge of what potential property issues look like and how they develop.

That experience has provided me with a strong understanding of common maintenance concerns, warning signs homeowners should pay attention to, and the preventative steps needed to help avoid larger problems down the road. In my 14 years I've collected an extensive list of trusted professionals and service providers homeowners can use when issues arise.

I'm also a proud Middle TN resident of nearly 30 years. If there's one thing I've learned it's this — not all areas of the country are the same. Conditions here can change quickly, especially with our frequent storms. Homes here require much more maintenance than people realize. Going away or having a property unoccupied for any length of time without having someone checking on it can be a real problem, especially with pests, yard growth, and wildlife. Having someone keeping an eye on your property is crucial in this area.

Who We Serve

Our clients include snowbirds wintering in Florida or Arizona, business travelers, military families on deployment, owners of second homes in the Nashville area, families managing an estate between sales, and realtors who need a credentialed inspection on long-unoccupied listings.

About Our Service

Middle Tennessee has become a magnet for second-home owners and travelers, and many were leaving their largest investment unwatched. We built a credentialed, insured service so locals and out-of-state owners alike could have real peace of mind.

We are insured, bonded, and accredited; we follow a documented inspection checklist; and we deliver a time-stamped report with photos after every visit. Friends and family mean well, but they rarely carry insurance or a professional process.

Yes. We are local owner-operators based in Middle Tennessee. We know the neighborhoods, the storm patterns, and the trusted trades to call when something needs attention.

Every team member entering a client home passes a background check, signs a confidentiality agreement, and is trained on our inspection protocol before working independently.

Absolutely. We never share homeowner identities, alarm codes, gate codes, or schedules with anyone outside our team. Sensitive credentials are stored in an encrypted system.

Our reports include GPS-verified arrival times, date- and time-stamped photos, and notes on every checklist item. You receive the report by email after each visit.
